Last class we spoke about the color pink being girlie and the color blue meaning masculine and how we should dress our kids up in neutral colors so we don't program them to think only one way.  For me, I feel that I do want my child to know what gender he or she is and what he or she is attracted to because if you generalize soo many things, I believe kids will get confused and not know which was is acceptable.

  1. You read my mind I feel the same way. I totally want my kids to know what gender means and the difference. I wouldn't want them all confused about what they are. Obviously somethings in the gender war need to change but thats what I can change as a parent. As for the basics I'm dressing my boy in blue and my girl in pink and I hope she grows up loving pink. As for my boy if he is one of those that can pull off pink as a male then all power to him, but genetically so far that hasn't been the case in my family.
